Your Right to Data Deletion
At Bailamigo, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You can request the deletion of all personal data associated with your account at any time. This page explains the different ways you can request data deletion and what happens when you do.
How to Request Data Deletion
Option 1: Delete Your Account In-App
The easiest way to delete your data is through the Bailamigo app:
- Open the Bailamigo app
- Go to Settings (tap the gear icon)
- Scroll down to Account
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Option 2: Email Request
You can request data deletion by sending an email to our privacy team:
Subject: Data Deletion Request
Body: Please include the email address associated with your Bailamigo account and your full name for verification purposes.
We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once complete.
Option 3: Facebook Login Users
If you signed up or logged in using Facebook, you can also request data deletion through Facebook:
- Go to your Facebook Settings & Privacy → Settings
- Navigate to Apps and Websites
- Find Bailamigo in the list of apps
- Click "Remove" to revoke access
- Additionally, email us at privacy@bailamigo.com to confirm complete deletion of your data from our servers
What Data Gets Deleted
When you request data deletion, the following information will be permanently removed:
- Your account profile (name, email, profile photo)
- Dance style preferences and settings
- Festival attendance records and schedules
- Connections and networking data
- Notification preferences
- All other personal data associated with your account
Data Retention After Deletion
After you request deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days. Please note:
- Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently purged.
- We may retain certain information if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal compliance).
- Anonymized and aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained for analytics purposes.
Confirmation
Once your data has been deleted, we will send a confirmation to the email address associated with your account. If you do not receive a confirmation within 30 days, please contact us at privacy@bailamigo.com.
